The Creative Robotics Topical Collection at the International Journal of Social Robotics aims to explore emerging intersections between creativity and social robotics. This collection focuses on interdisciplinary approaches that integrate art, design, engineering, cognitive science, and human–robot interaction to develop socially engaging robotic systems. It welcomes theoretical, methodological, and practice-based contributions in social, cultural, educational, and public contexts. What makes this collection distinctive is its emphasis on creativity not merely as a feature of robots, but as a fundamental paradigm shaping the design, experience, and societal integration of next-generation social robots.
